Our head of cultivation picks specific strains based on their terpene profiles and content, cannabinoid profiles and content, the stability of oils and resins, the rarity of organoleptic properties, and the potential yield. The strains that are picked by us are breeder select, which means that they are original cuts sourced from the breeders that created the strains.
When plants arrive for the first time, they are put into quarantine where they are monitored for approximately 40-45 days.
In the mother and cloning room, mother plants will be harvested of cuttings for the purpose of generating new plant clones on a rotating schedule that will allow us to meet our production harvest demands.
After the plants have been cloned, they are moved to the vegetation phase where we grow them in a SOG (sea of green) system. A SOG system refers to the plants being kept largely unpruned and grown very close together, as opposed to having fewer bushier plants spaced far apart.
During the flowering phase, the plant is given 12 hours of sunlight or less per day, which dictates hormonal responses that cause the plant to focus on reproductive flowering growth rather than vegetation shoot and leaf growth.
The flower is sorted into either bulk/wholesale flower, individually packed flower, or pre-packaged flower (such as pre-rolled joints or edibles), and distributed to the provisioning centers.
